    ball joints

I just got the lower onesreplaced last weekend, how does one go for replacing the uppers? They are riveted to the control arms, how do I get them off? I have access to a sawzall, but no air-hammer or anything like that - can I just cut through the rivets, and sledge-hammer them off? They are supposed to be in OK condition, but since I'm rebuilding the front end might as well go all the way...

can remove the rivets with a chisel and a hammer.....then knock themout with a center punch.......the new box uppers bolt on with bolts and jam nuts

if you have a powerfull die grinder or cutting wheel Id use that, just be carefull to not dig into the controll arm much.

Get a couple good drill bits. Those rivets are hard metal. Cobolt or titianium not the cheep coated ones.
