damn, might be enough to sway me from a 351. i can't picture a mag of that cailber just making shit up to promote a product.

and that would put me in the horsepower range i'm looking for.

            but still

500 tops for a ho motor out of a 91-92 stang
1299 for the heads-assuming they're sold in pairs would be more if they are not
            300-400 for the roller rockers
            headers

and you're still looking at a bargain. save your pennies, use ebay, and for maybe less you gots yourself one mean 302

you're still gonna need a ho motor(or a complete ho conversion) to get the power they were making

                    hmmm

I'm still considering the AFR heads on my HO. I'll have about $3000 to put into the engine once I pull it from the Mark.

it was/is a great article. just goes to show how well the stock HO cam really works for most applications.
with that being said, there are a couple things you need to consider

                      1) they used a carb and an aftermarket intake. I doubt it would have made similar HP with a stock or near stock SD EFI system.

                      2) they used headers that will not fit in any late model chassis, Panther or Mustang/FOX

                      3) with the stock cam, high flowing heads moved the peak HP and torgue very high up in the RPM range (405 HP at 6200 rpm and 380 torque at 4300 rpm). you would need a serious converter and at least a 4.10 gear to get almost any street car moving.
