    Headliner removal

To remove the trim across the top, I've read the headliner has to come out. Anything special to remove that, or is it straightforward?

Just gotta remove the interior trim around it and the dome light, and it should come down...I do believe.

What they said, trim around the top, visors, dome light, and out she comes. Roll it backward and pull it out the back door. It'll buckle a bit but it won't damage it as long as you're careful removing and installing it. Its big and awkward, and the fiberglass shit they use as insulation on the back of it falling all over is the worst of it. I did mine by myself in maybe 2-3 hours, and that was removal and install of all the trim and such.

I recomend taking out the seats first you will get LOTS of room for your removal they are pretty easy to take out just 4 bolts and if electric one conector. I allways start out taking out the seats for that kind of work depending on what year you may have to start at the bottom and work your way up in order to take the head liner out. do you use ziploc bags to hold your screws and small parts ? I just started to a few months ago I got tired of having to start over every time i had those little screws left over

Is the wagon headliner as easy? It seems to be two parts.

85mercpark, I just took out the headliner today in my wagon. Yeah just take off all the trim that runs around the headliner and the trim that connects both pieces of the headliner. Unplug the rear dome light, it can stay in the headliner. The front dome light needs unscrewed as it holds up the headliner too. Also be prepared for sound deading to come with it. It isn't suppose to but mine anyway was so deteriorated it just fell apart. Gives me a good chance to put in some better sound deading anyway.

So this goes for both trim pieces on the roof? or the really big one?
