Courtesy lamps for the 2001 P71.

Most of you probably know that P71s, at least since 1998, do not have floor and door courtesy lamps.

Just like on my '98 P71, I installed floor courtesy lamps on the '01 P71. They are quite useful and I had grown accustomed to them from having them in the '98.

Unlike on my '98, the passenger side panel would not line up. Apparently the panels were changed in 2001, perhaps in part for the change in the transmission tunnel' shape.

If anyone has the correct part number for a 2001 interior "hush panel" with 12v accessory outlet, let me know.

The door panels in '01 do not have the cavity required to install door courtesy lamp reflectors and their housing. Behind the reflector on the '01 is a solid piece of plastic that would have to be cut out.

Depending on how OEM of an installation you want, this upgrade does not take too long and is quite useful everytime you enter or exit your Panther.

I picked it up a few months ago as a DD. I've gone through it, really trying to clean out all that Kansas grit, sand, and grime.

It's clean now, but being a DD it'll never be as steril as the '98.

Embassy, looks good as always.

I did that upgrade to the '91.
