    Door chime has suddenly faded

Had a decent working door chime, I know some of you don't like the noise, but it reminds me not to lock my keys in the car, when I get distracted.
Suddenly, the sound has faded so it's nearly inaudible. Is it a hassle to fix this, or does the chime need to be replaced?
Not that I will anytime soon, but was curious...

Prolly need to replace the chime, it's pretty simple, unplug and replace.

I guess then it's a matter of finding the thing, first. LOL!
