    Gas mileage???

I was just wondering what kind of gas mileage could I expect to get out of a 89 Mercury wagon?? It has a stock 5.0L in it.

Right now I'm using my 87 F250 2wd with a 5.0L/ 4 spd(No OD ) for my daily driver. And I'm getting 15-18 mpg with it. I was just wondering if the wagon would get any better.

    Thanks.

My 89 gets 23 on the Interstate. I drove it to Sturgis, SD a couple years ago, 1800 miles with a busted OD ring, Drive all the way and got 17. Donald McCaig

Thanks guys, I guess I'll just stick with the F250 for now.

around town I get 17-18. On the highway a nice 24.
Pretty much the same as my truck.
But, I can haul more with the wagon, and it rides ALOT better, and it's roomier inside, plus it has that nice comfy seat.
