    Hard Shifting 92 M75

My AOD tranny is taking a dump I think...When im crusing at 30mph with very slight pressure on the pedal the rpms rise then it clunks into gear....It doesnt do this all the time but it does bug me.....And theres times where when I get on it where it doesnt want to shift and It runs like a dog....Hopefuly its just a missajusted linkage and nothing more

I'm sure one of these guys will chime in with better info, but it's located on the throttle body. It should be a cable with a bushing on the TB. The bushings go bad from time to time, and could potentially waste teh trans.

Only very early 1992 models had an AOD. If you have a car made before 3/92 I think, it will have it. There will be 3 cables attached to the throttle lever, one for the accelerator pedal, one for the cruise, and the one on the opposite end of the lever is the TV cable that will go down to the transmission. If you have only 2 cables, your car was built after 3/92 and you have an AOD/E, the electronic version. Bad throttle position sensors will make an AODE shift all kinds of funky, and so can bad plug wires believe it or not.
