    New guys

I don't want to sound like a Nazi, but I think that new members should introduce themselves in the newbie forum. It'd be nice to know who all these new guys are. Some just become members and never post a thing. Just a thought, since i'm sure everyone would like to give new members a warm welcome, even though making them post somewhere before anywhere else isn't exactly a warm welcome.

Some people come by for just a little tech help, and that's fine by me. Not everyone is into the whole forum scene.

      Agreed

Some people don't like to give their whole life story or anything, they just want some help with their problems.

Yeah, I have never submitted my life story for review and approval either, so I guess I'm sort of a new guy as well.

+2 I was pretty quiet for my first year of membership. I'm starting to post more though. Never submitted a life story or anything so I don't see why we should require new people to. Some ask a few questions get their problem resolved and never speak here again.

They shouldn't have to. Merely posting is good enough for me
