OK the CFI pissed me off real good this time.

And I want my damn car to run.

Time for a carb swap. HEres the list of parts:

Motorcraft 2bbl like GL has (220 bucks)
some sort of fuel filter with a reulator, and a return (20)
And I may be able to run EEC-IV ignition for awhile. Trust me on this one.
But eventually Ill make the swap to duraspark.

Man, you guys love getting bad gas mileage, don't you? I understand the 2-bbl is a direct bolt on, but you'd get hella better gas mileage with a 4-barrel.

Tom, I'm interested to know how you're making the CFI ignition work with a carb. Everywhere I've read said you had to change to duraspark.

But that was before I messed with my car, and found that fuel and spark STAND ALONE...

As I recall hearing, supposedly the CFI ties into the ignition somehow. I just wonder how you're gonna make the dist work alone.

TPS does not effect spark curve. TFI and ECU should work independent of FI

sorry to hear its still not running Tom... would you ever think about taking it to a shop to let them check on it? It still may be something simple!

                              Triumph rocks my socks off.

                              The 2bbl is fine.

Just get the 1981 T-bird carb, it's only got two vac lines you have to fuck with. I plugged one and used the other for my vac advance.
