    Back on the track...

Got the car running on friday night just in time to make the first points race of the season on saturday. I had a spare stock 302 out of a MarkVII. I took my heads & intake & put it on the stock lower end. Worked out pretty good. Ran into some issues with pushrod length & head gasket thickness, but I got it all straitened out.

Car ran really good. Ran consistant 7.85's in the eighth. I went 4 rounds before I broke out by four-thousanths. Overall it was a good night. Im really impressed with what the car ran. With the blown motor, it would run 7.46's in the eighth. Only lost 4-tenth's with a stock lower end.

Just figured I'd give y'all the info.

Let's seperate the men from the boys and put that power to the track using street tires and stock suspension components

I think most males would agree that good head is all thats needed. Apparently Ford motors agree.

It's a lot harder to pull up a wheel on a slippery driveway than it is on a well prepped, sticky track. Especially on normal street tires and not racing slicks.
