Does the motor not run at all, or does it run and not actually move the antenna? If it runs but the mast wont move, you can replace just the mast. The plastic ribbon gear thing breaks and it stops working. If the motor quit running, first check the fuses, then see if its actually getting voltage. Could be a bad switch or bad connection.

ok motor still runs. What now? I took it out of the car and looked at it, I didn't see a way to replace the mast.

Just pull it out if you can. If its stuck or fully down there is maybe one screw in the center of the black circle shaped case. You take that off and you'll see the white plastic mast spooled around in there. With mine, I just pulled it out some and it gave me slack to pull the metal mast all the way out out of the tube. Once the entire mast is off, you just feed your replacement in and cycle up and down until the mast full retracts. Hope that gives you some idea, I got my replacement of ebay. A "oem" stainless 6 sided tip one for the specific application runs around 10 bucks w/o shipping and has the correct instructions for removing the old mast and putting the new one in.
