I got im my car this morning to go to work.And it almost stumbled and died...Its been idling rough every once in a while but this time it was really bad..Im thinking its either the EGR valve or MAF because its throwing a engine light at 80mph

best thing, throw a scanner on it!if you can get one, cuz it can be any of the few sensors

the 91 did somethin simmilar, but after doing a tune up and replacing the IAT sensor, canister purge solinoid and EGR valve and EGR vac solonoid, it went away, but yours is a 4.6, idunno

What year is your car? The older 4.6 with the aluminum intake had problems with the EGR channels plugging up, and it would do random CEL and running like crap on the highway stuff.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Excessive EGR flow at/near idle will cause the engine to stumble and stall. Check operation of the EGR vacuum solenoid, PFE/DPFE connections and hoses as well.-My Homepage, Panther info & FAQs-
