92+ require platinum. Platinum plugs come pre-gapped but make a quick visual to make sure there is a gap and that they haven't been dropped on the floor. Haven't heard any problems with Autolite Platinums, just stay away from Bosch.

Most all hi energy ingnition mfg's say to stay away from platnum plugs. There are like 3 theories as to the spark combustion process. Ptatnum could be dangerios accordint to 1 or 2 of them. Also going to platnum is a wear longjevity issue. Thee metal being eaten up part of the combustion theory. The porcilin can also break down and ruin a plug. Many of the plugs loose there power and you dont notice because the oem ignitions have enough power to fire a bad plug. I have changed plugs 3 months after installing new ones and felt the power increase. Yes some of the new engines you havent much choice in plugs. Say like the new Ford 3 valve. Wait untill you try to change them.
