    Piotr's 359ci Windsor Build

I'm making a thread to chronicle the build up of my new motor. Right now the block, crank and rods are at the machine shop. Its been bored .040 over, tanked and magged, the crank got turned .010 and the rods are getting shot peened and reconditioned. I'm dropping off the cam bearings, rod bolts, and freeze plugs and stuff today.

I went to summit yesterday and picked up the engine rebuild kit, cam and lifters, roller rockers, timing chain, and some other goodies. My pistons were out of stock and are coming from georgia. I'm putting the engine together all by myself too.

Right now heres what its gonna look like
    359ci
    9.5:1 compression
    speed pro hyperucraptic pistons
    comp xe 284 hydraulic cam
world windsor sr heads, shaved .015
    1.6 stud mount roller rockers

I still need to find a victor jr or weiand stealth intake. I'm kinda leaning towards the victor right now. I also need to find a junky holley 4150 750 dp carb to rebuild. I'm gonna put it together with a proform main body and billet metering blocks. I need an oil pan and pickup still, and a bunch of other little shit thats gonna nickel and dime me to death.

I'm painting the block dark blue and should look pretty cool when its done.

Sounds good, but I think with those heads, a victor intake, and carb, the motor might be a but of a dog down low, but it also depends on what the specs on that cam are and what kinds stall you gonna run

I'm swapping to a 5 speed next, so I'll have a mismatched combo for a little bit, I'm trying to think ahead.

Colin, I couldnt find a gun metal I liked so I'm going dark ford blue.

btw, Pete, go on Corral.net and PM a guy named "mattponch"
his actual name is Bill...he lives by me and usually has a lot of engine parts...he might be able to hook you up with a Victor Jr. Intake.
or at least search in their classifieds...

Minus the heads and cam, that motor is essentially a twin of my own. You're going to like it a lot. No roller conversion planned? Now would be a good time.

                      yes... its Polish

Flat tappet works for me, the retrofit kit aint too cheap either.

I'm hoping to score a used intake and carb off ebay or classifieds. I gotta be patient tho. Scott, if you got an old double pumper around, I'd be really interested. Let me know what you got mang!
