I'm getting the Hot Rod Police Car's tranny flushed and filled. For awhile my vic has been shifting really wierd into OD. The normal gears are fine but when it shifts into OD and I still have light throttle it will like totally not have any power at the wheels and the RPMs go up. It takes like a second or two to shift then it is fine. The tranny fluid was fine and not burnt or anything just not to red more like an orange color. I hope a flush will cure it but it may totally fuck it up. I hope I don't have to get a new tranny but some say on See Vee N that the tranny is probably going out. I will have to keep my fingers crossed. I'm to nervious I would fuck something up that is why I'm taking it to the dealership.

how many miles you got? i doubt it is failing on you.
make sure they drop the pan, change filter, and clean the magnet and pan!
and make sure they use mercon v, of course.
let us know how it goes.

Ya I will make sure to have them put Mercon V in her. Its only got 83,xxx but my local PD didn't ever switch the OD off when she was in service.

hey, yepp, im not sure where u live..but i got a 92marquis, just had a new rebuilt tranny installed for 2300$, and about 2wks later i noticed the same thing as us, shitty shifts in OD and whatnot..the mechanic thought it could be some of my sparkplugs or wires not fully giving enough power/spark..anyhow, its winter here and avery few weeks i experience the same bullshit, im running the best gas around in it, but she still wants to slip/shift shitty in OD, run the maruis with some good gas n get the fuel injectors cleaned with a 10-25$ bottle of additives and that should doo the trick  ..clogged fuel injectors make shitty OD shifts, i found that out! its well worth a try, and after that if everything is good, buy a 25-35$ bottle of tranny additive for smooth shifts

Well got her back. They put in Mercon V like I asked. She shifts like she should now. Thank god, I was really worried that she may need a new tranny. Thanks for all you help guys.

Hey zwack--
Good news about the tranny. I was going to say that your car isn't old enough(or high enough mileage) to have the tranny going so soon.
Mine, on the other hand.....

Ya, but don't you have a newer engine and tranny in that thing?

Yeah I wish! No, my high mileage is the result of just impeccable maintainece[sic] and not beating on the car, buying quality replacement parts and careful driving...
