    Sorry Mangs...

    I did some hard thinking...
and after thinking about how long the machine shop has taken to get the motor ready...and all the money I will have to spend to go to SF(over $275 ie: gas and hotel costs).
I've decided not to go this year.

but this would put me at least 2 weekends behind...since the weekend of SF07 will be the first weekend that my uncle and I can start on the car...
starting with getting those headers on and getting the floor shifter in...and then getting those headers attached to pipes will cost about $60-100.

Plus, I got bills piling up left and right...

so yea, sorry guys, but Mr. Land Yacht will NOT be at SF07. :nonono:

maybe we can organize a meet around the WoodWard cruise this year(in August).

SF08 is still a possibillity tho...

true..but 87VicFIVE0 and I were gonna share a room for 2 nites...I would only have to pay 75bux for that..not too shaby...but the gas cost is just too much.
and like I said, it will put me 1-2 weeks behind in the build.

          sorry mangs

you can put off the build for 2 weeks for something that only comes once a year. There will be others but no other sf2k7 this one could be the best of all and youd miss it!!!!!! postpone!!!!

no need for motel costs, crash in a bag on the floor, in the car...

no hotel needed been telling everyone that......there is 6,000 square feet of indoor space, and almost 4 acres of outdoor space, not including you can walk these woods for miles and see no houses, no roads......that's the chance of a lifetime for most......so what if it throws things off a few weeks.......scottfest is a life changing experience.....just ask the participants of the first two events........i could say hell i'm not gonna put on scottfest this year cause i dont have the money.....Fuck no!.........i dont have any money of my own to speak of right now....but you know what, i got a roof over my head, i'm not hungry, and i gots all my friends.......i have no clue where i'm coming up with the money to put this gig together, but you know what, i am not worried.......the lord will provide!
so take a friggin road trip.......dont whine about the bucks, just grin and enjoy the scenery, and have a good time! more priceless than rushing around to get the car together in 2 weekends........what do they call that? fellowship?
anyway for those having second thoughts......dont! i like to travel, and maybe someday i will come to your town to help you/visit

I have friends who live in the far northwest corner of West Virginia. I have no vacation time left this year, but next year I may combine a visit to see them with ScotFest 08. My brother should have a box (or hearse) by then and hopefully we'll both be there. Though I think I'll have a different Panther by then, as mine has a blue million miles on it and may have to be retired before then. But I already told my wife, it's Panther in the driveway or we move to a town with public transportation.
