    High Idle

    Good day.

Ever since I cleaned my system with Seafoam, the idle on my '91 GM runs high and doesn't want to kick down. I've adjusted the idle screw many times but it always seems to go back to the high idle in a few days. The gas pedal also sticks when the idle is too low. Any ideas on a quick fix?
    Thanks for the input...

first check for vacuum leaks, make sure all the sensors are plugged in

check the throttle body, it may be carboned up and sticking

Which way did you put the seafoam in thru the brake booster or pcv valve? Which ever way check there first..

I did the seafoam through the brake booster. Looks like all the vacuum lines are all connected and the throttle body is clean. Could it be a defective sensor?

Finally found and solved the high idle & gas pedal problem. There was a metal burr on the butterfly valve causing it to stay open. Once I filed the burr away, no more problem. Thanks to seafoam, the car idles and runs very smooth...
