    Borg Warner T5?

Alright, I was looking into doing the T5 swap and I came across a Borg Warner Transmission at a great price. it's a GM Tranny but what's the difference? I did a few google searches and couldn't find the info I needed. Is there anyway to make it work?

I picked one up a few years back, thinking the same thing you are probably thinking.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. The input shafts are different lengths, and the shifters are in different places. The spline count and the bolt pattern for the bellhousing are almost certainly going to be different as well.

The one that is canted to one side a few degrees, is for a camaro IIRC, but I think that the bellhousing is what makes it that way, but I could be wrong.

Don't waste your time with an 85 or older T5. They are the non world class T5 and are the absolute weakest ones. Try to get 88-93 T5 as they were the better ones, 93 having a few little trinkets to make it insignificantly better.

                      they used the T-5s.

the T-45 is a T-5 with an integrated mod motor bell housing.

the V-6 T-5s are not the same as the v-8 t-5's. my brother is using a v-6 t5 behind his 302, the input shaft is different legnth and you need a certain bellhousing for it to work properly
