Dude, that seriously sucks. Though considering the yards I bought stuff at in Indiana, I'm surprised it was even there that long. Guys down that way need some cash and the price of steel is up, out comes the car crusher, doesn't matter what condition the stuff is in, it's all worth money as recycled metal!

This particular yard doesn't have a crusher. At least, not that I've ever seen. I think the stuff just kind of moves through there at a decent clip.

Heres a local pick'n'pull, pretty close to my house so I'm a frequent visitor. Theres not really alot of panthers there, I occassionaly find something I can use, but I mostly go to just walk around and see what I can find. They get lots of older cars in.

I wish there was a pick n pull around here. No such thing that I can find. I'd probably find a bunch of stuff that I "need to have."

Looks like a squaremont, instead of an LTD..to me. That green p0ntiac is probably a 78ish bonneville or maybe a parisenne.

Ask around. I never knew about one close to me (with any size or good prices) until Pete told me about one.

Some more pics from Mike's taken today, Nov 5th. Found a swaybar for the Tc, I just gotta go finish getting it out. Also picked up a massive K&N filter for $5 that was attached to the lincoln MKVII pictured below. After an hour of cleaning it looked like new. There was 3 huge old lincolns there, all of them in quite bad shape.

the Mark VII looked in ok shape. looks like a paint job and quarter panel repair for rust and it would look good.

Tell me about it ..... only in America would easily repairable automobiles be sold for scrap at only a few years old. :bawling:

Every single panther in the whole damn yard has a Y code rear end. I've been trying to find a K code for over a year now. Same thing in all the pick n pulls. And I know mike, i cant believe some of the cars I've seen junked. Guess some people, as soon as some things start to go wrong, they just want it gone asap, drives me crazy.

I patrolled the best JY around me (it doesn't hold a candle to the ones you guys have), and found an '01 Lincoln TC thatw as really cracked up. The interior was freakin beautiful (less than 10K on the car). I was planning on buying the seats for My dad's P71. When I inquired, get this... $1500. Yeah, they were nice black leather, but WTF? I went back over a year later for something else. The interior was ruined, and the seats were still sitting there. Asses!

Tell me about it,I cant believe some of the nice Rust-Free Boxes & Foxes, that I've seen get junked around here. Most of the time it's from an old person who has a extremely well maintained one,and something will happen like the tranny will go out,and they just don't wanna deal with it,so they will go out a buy a new car and let the old one sit in their yard for awhile and rot, until they get tired of looking at it,or the neighbors start bitching, then they have it carted off to the boneyard.

I have found some before in junkyards around here that I would have been willing to take back home with me,but unfortunately they won't sell any of their cars.

Many of the Sig Series Towny's here have K-code axles in them,I will be pulling one sometime in the near future.
