here is the bracket i made to mount a watts and a torque arm to the watts will mount to a hole in the bracket that has not been drilled yet.
it mounts to a MN-12 Thunderbird diff cover

all hardware is Grade 8 or 10.9 (the metric equivelent)

hopefully. the best part without bolts the brace and cover only weigh 5 pounds, which is amazing since it is 1/4" mild steel plate and 3/8' solid round stock.

you gotta supply a cover because i never want to take another off they are pains in the ass.

that is only part of the brace, once the torque arm is installed it will have mounts that are welded to the diff housing to distribute more force to the front of the stock

Did you ever install this?
Is the T-bird diff cover the same as a 8.8? I thought the IRS was like a Dana axle or something...

nope, never did any more with it.
the MN-12 IRS is an 8.8
the cover is most likely getting armored and going on my brothers explorer for protection from rocks and such

It's an option for those going with an 8.8 in their handling cars.
I'm going with a 9" in GMGT.
