    speed limit issues?

I've been having an issue with my car lately. For some reason when i swapper out the rear end gears in my 97 marquis aero it peaks out at about 89 mph. Now before it topped out at 119. I fixed the speed sensor so its accurate on the dash but when i put the 3.55's in it. it screwed it up.

Maybe if i put 3.73's in it would help ? I cant imagine what 4.10's would do ill probally only be able to go 49. lol

anyways anyone with knowlege of this please help me out!

Surprisingly another member had this problem. Seneeb IIRC... I do not remember the solution though. Might have been a chip tune or flash tuner

Yeah i thought it might have something to do with the computer.. Im thinking that its thinking because of the RPM change that its going 119* (or max speed) and cuts off the engine for about 2-3 seconds before i can resume. Only issue is trying to find something compatable for a 97 because superships (the only PCM retuner i can find) even says may not adjust rev or speed limiter.

hmm any other type of information that could help would be greatly appreciated.

I think an SCT tuner is in order.
