    97 coil on plug conversion

I was thinking about switching to the coil on plug ignition, was wondering if anyone has done this.

I found info on Modular Depot Forum sounds pretty simple.

I'll stick with my coil packs and not worry every time I wash my engine.

EASY conversion provided you have an intake manifold with COP provisions (which the -97 factory manifolds do not. However, the replacement manifold for 96-97 (used for all 96-00 - for crossover recall/tsbs) do)

As long as you take care when washing the engine to cover the cops, and use plenty of dielectric grease around the boot's seal to head and plug - you should be fine.

There will be no real performance gain, other than being NEW coils vs old. The system will still be waste-spark.

Biggest plus (to me) is the cleaner look.
