thanks for all the hello's and hey right back. quick question, when i try to post i usually have to retype everything 2 or 3 times before it will go through. even though i'm logged in when i go to actually post it tells me i'm not logged in or don't have permission and makes me log in again(here on the newbie forum) and i usually lose what i've wrote. by the time i get it to go through i've rewritte it so many times my wording is not as good as my original writeup. just wondering if it's where i'm new here or is it a common problem. not bitching just typing sure aint my strong point and it gets a bit frustrating. glad to have found this place and look forward to hearing from you all.

I believe there's a confirmation email that requires you to click on a link or something of that nature...did you get the email and follow the instructions? Also, are you able to post in the other forums, or only this one?

never got the email. i checked and i have the right address down. i hadn't tried posting anywhere but the newbie forum since yesterday. thought maybe the administrator was making sure i wasn't an asshole or something before turning me loose in here.

Nah, nothing like that. Though we did recently have another new member who had a similar problem. I'm not sure how (or if) it was resolved.

you're still having problems? Are you able to PM an admin so one of them can help with the situation?

See if that fixes it. It was waiting user confirmation. I pushed it through so you should be good to go now.

I guess I'll have to poke around and see if the confirmation mail thing is actually working or whats going on with it. The annoying thing is, I don't think PM's work if you aren't confirmed either, so basically posting in here is the only option.

Welcome! I had the same issue but the fine gentlemen of the Grandmarq engine room fixed the issue. You're right about these guys knowing their shit ; my mind boggles at the stuff the mechanically-abled here talk about.

welcome to GMN. i try to recruit people to the site all the time and they look at me like i am crazy. i tell them the different things we do to our cars and they think it is dumb since it would benefit better in a rustang. my thoughts are that it is different, unique, and these cars can be sleepers. people around here are shocked when i lift the hood of one of our panthers.
