    Wal-Mart Subs?

I may (If I have enough Money) use my tax return money to buy a nice set of subwoofers from wal-mart....And the Wal-Mart nearest me has the following:

    Sony XPLOD 10"/12"
    Pioneer 10"/12"
    Lightening Audio 10"/12"

Any info on which ones will rattle the trunk the most? As I am looking for more SPL's than SQ.....Any help will be appreciated....

Try and go with the Pioneers.

For the best sound, find a set of Rockford Fosgates.

Sony speakers suck. Never heard a set I was impressed with. I have a pair of 12(ish) year old Pioneer 12s and they're fine. The box is crap but the speakers have no issues at all.

Pioneer between those 3 for sure...

but... you can get new cerwin vega HED subs on ebay for the same price as those walmart subs... I have 10" Cerwin Vega subs that are older than HED's and they rock... ask anyone here who's been in the 85...

And please... unless you plan to be in competitions, dont say you want SPL over SQ... one of the parts of SQ is all the tight, filling, responsive bass you will ever need to enjoy your music - anything more is overkill, only good for competitions and trying to impress people...

i hate to sound like an asshole but i am an asshole that happens to know a whole lot about stereo. first off dont buy stereo anything from wal-mart. if you need help with a decent system let me know because i can get many things for you for cheap. second for all you retards that say sony sucks.............well your a retard. quit being so concerned with the name of what you are buying and look at the performance numbers. sony has been in the game longer than most other companies and that has to stand for something. just because it is affordable doesnt meen it is cheap. Sony is not my favorite but you cant beat the performance for the price. think about that.

I think we're on the same page here PD, I just want a set of 15's that are around 2-3k/w and a couple of good, solid amps....Already have a Kenwood Headunit and a Jensen EQ....And I think SONY is decent, specially the performance part....Altho I like Kicker better for that aspect too....Kicker has been in there a LOT longer than most everything else....You know anything about bass cannons?
