I was fiddling with the car tonight and noticed that the "Grand Marquis" letters were a little loose. They damn near fell off into my hand. I pulled the "LS" and "Mercury" lettering off as well. The adhesive that held them on was pretty well shot.

What can I use to put the lettering back on? I don't want to use a glue that will not let the letters come off (I want to be able to remove the lettering later when the car gets painted). The old adhesive looked like a type of double-sided tape.

I just covered the four little holes with duct tape for now so that the dust stays out of the trunk.

All info is appreciated.

I believe 3M makes the double sided foam type stuff for that.

yep, some thin double sided tape, just cut it to the shape of the emblem.

The 3m adhesives are usually best. I've always had good luck with them.
