    PATS key programming

    Hey all,

Does anyone know if there's a trick to programming a new PATS key and a new replacement keyless entry remote without going to the dealer? I only have one working key and remote now and am planning to buy a new key and remote as a spare and I'll need to have them programmed. This is for a 2000 F150, but similar year Panthers should be the same in this department. I'm just hoping to avoid the big service department bill.

    Thanks for the help.

You can do it without going to the dealer, they showed me how to do it when I bought a new fob from them. I had keyless entry tho and I think I had to enter my code?? You have keyless entry on a truck??

Yeah, it's got factory keyless entry. Because its a truck, the only buttons are lock, unlock and panic. Did you program a new key also? Whats the trick?

You can program up to 8 keys to that system..The instructions should be in your owners manual
