OK well as you guys may know I am not on here all too often. But I do work for a quick lube shop. Every so often I have a lincon or merc or even just a nice car come in.
I'll take pics of any that come in & put them in here.

Well actually they do. But our boss is freakin cheap as hell. "it costs too much money for EVERYONE to have the service". So only a select few get to use it. Mainly the bosses (in red) & ME :) "Super Lube Dude" I was really hyper that day

I was a quickie lube tech for a year. Best time of my life. Remember 3001 Oil Change in Merrillville right by Taft and US30? Fun times...

Mangjura
02-24-2008, 04:54 PM
Yes I do remember 3001 ! I worked there when it was US30 fast lube!! That shop was owned buy George who also owned Aladdin Oil Change Oasis right down the street. I worked at Aladdin half of the week & the rest at US30.

Aside from that I have been at Oil Express in Hammond. All together I have been in the oil change business for over 11 years! I can & actualy have done an oil chane blindfolded.

Ofcorse I have had a couple other jobs but those are the most constant.

Remember Linda? Is she still around? Cool woman. I think you missed working with Demetri. He left shortly after I quit. He was also cool as hell. I heard George sold out years ago. He actually gets his cars serviced by Oil Express in Valparaiso now, LOL. I'll have to swing by your shop when it gets nicer out.

Mangjura
02-25-2008, 05:48 PM
Hell yea I remember Linda! She IS still there & still cool as ever. As far as I know Mike Nissan, Victor, & Lary are still there & The band is still together too. I don't know if they had the band when you were arround.

Did you know the owner of O.E. (Art) & George started out as partners? They went there seperate was because George just wanted the one shop & Art wanted to expand.

When you stop buy let me know a few days before so I can be shure I will be there. I wouldn't want some moron fucking up your car! All the guys are good but it seems like when I'm there noone has any problems at all.

04-23-2008, 10:38 PM
you still working there?!?! tell your boss he needs to fix those busted tiles on the floor!! You could trip and hurt yourself and sue the place!!!

Oh and earlier I meant to guess that he doesnt spring for the rag service either??
Thats why the one dudes shirt is so filthy???

Mangjura
04-24-2008, 07:31 PM
Well, we do replace those tiles about once every few years & yea I know it's about time. There just a pain in the ass & we are all lazy as all hell.

And Yes we do have the rag service & it IS paid for by the company............If you choose to use it. That gys name is Joe & he decided to wear his own shirt. The next day after I took that pic I brought him an Oil Express T shirt that I had from a few years ago. Now he is wearing a dark blue shirt with the "O.E." globe on the back & the "O.E." logo on the frount. He looks a LOT cleaner now.

Mangjura
04-29-2008, 08:56 PM
This one belongs on this site !

It is a very light blue & VERY clean I like it. The owner said he's going to get it painted next month.

Mangjura
04-30-2008, 08:50 PM
Ok yes I know this is a Shitvy oops I mean Chevy. But I like the car so here it is. It's a 68.

My dad had a friend that loved those cars. He had a half dozen ranging from '65-'69. No convertibles for him though.

What engine was in that? Looks like a TH400 trans (judging by the pan shape); perhaps a big block car?

79lincolnlover

That tudor rocks!

Mangjura
05-01-2008, 10:40 PM
I didn't get a chance to ask many questions the guy was in a hurry. Pretty much all I was able to find out is that he LOVES his car & that it is a '68
