Hey all, I have three plugs and the antenna connection in the hole in my dash where a head unit goes, would appreciate help figuring out what kind of stereo was in it, and/or the wiring harness I need to adapt it...
Not too good picture of the '88 Country Squire here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sexcpotatoes/2374823798/
There are two harness plugs, and one wire comes off the second harness and has three prong recepticles. You can see the yellow three prong in the picture and if you look close.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I saw a lot of cars at the junkyard that had those yellow connectors. Do those wires look new? Can you take a pic of the other harnesses?

the yellow plug is an acessory source - thats a keyed + wire - you can use it for gauges or whatever you want, its not part of the radio wiring (but it feeds off the radio power wiring)
What do the other connectors look like? Its just a matter or getting yourself the right wire harness kit, or hard wiring it from scratch.

I think the yellow plug is for the optional cell phone. I don't know if it was actually an option on Fords or Mercs, but it was on the Lincoln. A lot of cop cars actually used that plug to power the optional gauges, so perhaps thats why it was on all the cars.
