    On the off-hand chance...

I get a CV/GM with the 4.6, what are the first 6 things I need to invest in to get more performance out of it?

I am an old pushrod fan. I discoverd that the OHC engines have different needs.

92-95 - Stay away. Poorly designed heads.

96-00 - Good place to start:
    Engine
    PI Intake
    Marauder MAF and Airbox
    SCT Chip
    Steeda Underdrives

    Drivetrain
    LSD (Ford Trac-Lok preferred)
If it's not a P71, lower gears, Al driveshaft, and extended tailshaft housing
Dual exhaust if not already equiped
    J- Mod

    01-02:
Has better flowing intake and heads and better cams. So this is an even better place to start.
The same mods above except for the intake are still applicable.

    03+:
Adds a knock sensor which increases horsepower minimally.

        06. with the 3 valve heads.
The old house my be sold, and if it is, I am getting a new car.

        The choices
        1. Merc GM High Probability
        2. Ford CV Ditto
        3. Ford Shelby GT 500 Borderline
        4. Pontiac GTO ditto
        5. Chevy Corvette Z06 (if the house sells for the price we heard about yesterday!) Low probability

Is there any way to upgrade my heads on my 92 to a 96 or higher design.

What is exactly wrong with the 92-95 heads anyway (my guess would be the extreme angle of the valves)
