    The plot thickens

Ok, the carb is on the manifold, and bolted down. Nothing else is hooked up at this point. I have been trying to hook up the throttle linkage of the car to the throttle linkage adapter made for Fords with auto transmissions, which I have successfully hooked up to the carburetor's throttle linkage. But to be honest, I'm baffled. Here are some pics I took to show GMGT, but here they are for all to see (sorry if they're a little blurry, it is/was dark out when I took them):

I'll probably have it figured out by tomorrow, but if anyone wants to take a wild guess as to how the stuff hooks up, be my guest.

The carb is on. And it works. Very well. I'm having trouble keeping the rear end from getting squirrely around corners! I'll take pics later on, but for now i'm basking in the monumental accomplishment it was to get this bastard on.

Oh, and the stock air cleaner DOES fit with no clearence issues! I can't wait for the new air cleaner to arrive, it's gonna look bitchin'.
