    I came across this term while reading a classic car add and wondered about it. What are torque boxes?

    They're the structural components that give strength to a unibody car. Usually you've got one at each corner of the body--right under the driver's and passenger's feet, and under the back seat.

        A car with a full or partial frame also have torq boxes. its were the side frame meets the front or rear of the frame ahead of the axle, springs, controlarms in the rear. Behind te front suspinson portion of the frame. Any style auto frame has them.

            On foxbodies the frame side of the suspension mounting points are the torque boxes.
