If you plan to go to SF09, please take some time and vote on a date that would best suite your schedule. If you have any input regarding any of this, please voice your opinion here. If you know for sure that you are not going, keep your mouth shut. :stfu1:

LOL. I am good for anytime; if I need to stay longer because of a faulty alternator, I will. I like the timing this year best though...

It's starting to look like as of now, that I will only be able to get some vacation time off from work during June of next year. :(

I am not gonna say that I will be there, cause then I would jinx myself, but how about this. I HOPE to be there, very strongly and will do anything in my power to be there. ;) I voted for the July-August days, why? Idk. lol

Maybe rather than say when you want it to be, it would be better to know when people cannot make it.

I vote for sometime when it's easier for me to get off work, like, say May, or September, (or earlier or later). Some people have to deal with people with so much seniority they get off 6 weeks per year (and get to choose all six of their weeks first) and gobble up all the hot summer months.+

Grand Marquis GT
09-02-2008, 07:24 PM
Problem with those months is, noone else will be able to get that time off.

87_crown_vic

have to figure in people rom farther distances, time available, kids getting back into school for members with children, etc. personally i vote for July sometime

Personally, I vote for bumping SF09 to later this month, that way I don't have to wait another f***ing year for SF09.

Until then?

Same time as always.

Doesn't bother me, I'll go whenever Tom wants to go. However it does depend when my visa comes through.

I always take the week of my birthday in August (6th) on vacation, so 7-10 works for me. July 31 - Aug 3 is second choice to start the vacation week. I hope to stay two days next year, instead of the one day visit. :D

For me to be there (and I hope I can... for once), the earlier the better. I can't do anything after August 3rd. Any of the July dates are fine with me.

the vote is a great idear,
including the 'average temperature' for each of those date ranges would help also.

when does it start to cool off a bit?

I will have just graduated from high school and I think this would make a great senior trip instead of going to some stupid beach! Either this or the Oshkosh airshow. hmmmm...

Yes, definitely, that was something I was a bit worried about. I suffer from a rare condition known as 'projectile sweating', where I sweat out in solid form, instead of that regular liquidy sweaty stuff. I once sunk a boat on a hot day.

#9? A couple of days, plus even if we did do it September, it would have started today, and I wouldn't be there :( I like having it in the summer because it's much better for camping. Plus, school's out then, so I have all that free time.

Check out this forum. This is taking place in Pennsylvania. Check this forum for the exact address. 4 days of fun. Friday is normally the day they go to the track. Saturday is the cruise and BBQ, Sunday is the Junkyard run, and Monday is umm, what was Monday? I forget.

Well I'm kinda wondering about sleeping quarters. And aside from gas what should I bring $$$$ for ?

I will definitely be there. I'll tell my boss tomorrow that I need Aug 6 - 12 OFF. I know the trip back home will be slower & I'll need a day to recover :).

And lastly I'm gonna need to but an extra tire for the burn out competition. The one I have now is already bald as hell so I'll get two new ones - One to drive & one to burn.

Oops I just thought of another question..... Wheres the nearest gas station to the track ?

Lincolnmania
11-16-2008, 05:04 PM

I thought there was a trip to the drag strip & a burn out competition ?

Laura
11-16-2008, 06:10 PM
There is a trip to the drag strip, but it's up to you if you want to take part. Two participated last year and everyone else watched. And the burnout isn't a competition, it's more of a do it if you want to thing.

Mangjura
11-16-2008, 06:28 PM
Oh ok well I do want to see what kind of time my car can run & what I can get her up to in the quarter.

I really like to do burn outs so ummm yea I'll bring an extra tire so I can safely drive back home saying as though it is over 600 miles one way
