    AC compressor no signal

The clutch for my AC compressor won't kick on. I pulled the harness and tested for voltage. There is no voltage, even though there should be 12 volts when it's on. I checked and replaced the AC cutout relay and still nothing. Any ideas on where to start checking? AC fuse is good by the way and all the other climate control functions are working right.

I know some GM (general motors) vehicles have a low pressure cutout that kills the signal when they are low on freon (whatever they call it now) charge. Perhaps Fords have this?

    Any help appreciated.

check the low pressure cutoff switch......wire up a jumper, if the compressor comes on when the plug is jumped, it's either a bad switch or a low charge
