3M Double Sided Adhesive Tape is what was under my side strips.

IT will be a bit hard to get off. And if it's old and dried like mine is, then there is no hope of ever getting the sticky crap off.

they are clips like the chrome molding on the bottom ans some nuts holding them on, the back ones have nuts that are accessed from the trunk.

            yes, clips and yes, holes.

I'm suprised you never looked behind the carpet in your trunk, or the ends ove you door where the capped nut still show.

I haven't had the side carpet pieces out of this car. I didn't take notice to the bolt on the doors either, it's really friggin small.

I don't see why they couldn't just stick those pieces on there, jeez. I got the pieces off that needed off and did up the rust and popped em back on. Maybe one day I'll clean up the sides and fill the rivet holes.

My cars trim clip were held on by both bolts and studs. So you might be lucky like me and won't have to fill all the holes. There was no rhyme or reason for the studs, they weren't in the same spot on the other side.
