those must be based off 2V heads since the intake valves are 2.08" not 2.25" like the 4V

Yup, that's exactly what I was just reading about in the Summit catalog. Modern hi-po cleveland heads based on the old 351C-2V.

Hope they end up flowing better than the ones Edelbrock cooked up a couple years back .........

Having had a set of the Edelbrock units in my hands....they aren't a bad set of heads. I'd certainly entertain owning a set, provided I had a car to put a Cleveland into. Yes, they don't have the polish of the CHI Cleveland heads....but definitely an improvement, especially with the combustion chambers, which are crap on either the stock open or closed-chamber Cleveland heads.

Probably true, humongous ports on those suckers. How much RPM were the 4V heads supposed to be good for?

What's CHI? I had thought the Edelbrocks were the first aftermarket Cleveland head.

                      Nope.

Cylinder Head Innovations, and AED (I think that's the name, anyway).

Concerning the 351C 4V heads? They work really well at 9000 rpm with a few mods. Bob Glidden cut the external part of the exhaust port off of his 351C 4V heads he ran in Pro-Stock, and had aluminum raised-port blocks installed in their place, not to mention doing some mild intake port-floor filling.
Otherwise, they are useless below 3500 RPM.

So far as the 2V head goes....I love it....the Australian version, anyway.
