hey all, just finally completed my custom exhaust. no more factory stuff! it turned out to be the project from hell, started out by changing the oil pan, and if you know these cars, you know how much of a pain in the ass it can be. after that, i started on the exhaust manifolds. and wouldn't you know it, one of the studs snapped off about 1/2 an inch inside the head! so out the engine came. too bad i couldn't see into the future, i would've pulled it out to begin with.
to make the best of a bad situation, i decided now would be a good time to change the rear main seal and the front pump seal in the tranny as well. a drill, torches, and an easy out made short work of the broken stud, so glad i didn't have to re-tap the hole.
i opted to fab up the rest of my custom exhaust from the cats forward myself, complete with magnaflow cats. it turned out not bad for having used a crappy wire welder and mostly redneck tools at my disposal (with the exception of the hoist). anyway, here's pics.
