foulnd this in a yard out side of piqua ohio. SUPER clean car that runs and drives, but has a rusted frame. and since it has made it's way into the yard, it will only come out in peices

WONDERFUL! untill they told me, i was at a loss trying to figure out what was wrong. my wife wanted to trade her wagon for it

That is not a '79 GM.

That is an '82-'87, judging from the Grille, Front Bumper, and Fenders, which where all '82-'87 only.

Heh, who knows what the junkyard dogs might have put in the windshield.

'79 and '80 had unique side mirrors and slotted front bumpers (central plate mount for '79 only), making those years a dead giveaway, and also a funky grille with the appearance of having several little inserts that, if LTDman83 is correct, was used through '81 (though I had thought it was used through about '83 or so).
