    custom sub box idea

my friend built one for his crapiece a couple years ago and it basically sat in the trunk well of the car. i was thinking of doing something similar. any cons to the subs firing towards the trunklid?

Vibration and "ghetto-rattle" maybe? I am not really knowledgeable about bumping systems. Although I wish I was.....

Mine face toward the trunk lid and it rattles like nobodies bussiness. I need to do something to calm it down.

has anyone put subs in the back of a wagon? I was thinking of cutting out a hole in the folding doors of the third row seats. Not sure how they would sound bolted to metal.

when you build it you will still need to fully enclose it with MDF, you CANNOT use the trunk floor as part of the enclosure. It will rattle and flex.

nope, wasn't planning on using the trunkwell as part of the enclosure lol. it'll sit in the trunkwell but won't be part of it. if that makes sense
