I just bought a 1995 Marquis LS. The previous owner had a DVD player hooked up where the radio went. He gave me the original radio back. I hooked up the two connections for it and have no sound. The lights work but no sound. Is there anything wrong? If there's a loose wire, can i glue or use electrical tape to fix it?

I found a bunch of wires that were cut but i think it was for the DVD player because they look new.

i had that same problem before. Lights up, no ruckus.
I just bought an after market one from Target for 79.99. its a cd player, MP3, aux in, SD card in, and USB in. And if you do that, pick up the wiring harness too. They're like $9 and totally worth it. you can also score that at Target or Walmart.

thnx, but for now i have this. I dont really need this anymore as my main concern for now is replacing my muffler and replacing my serpentine belt. Maybe ill get lucky and get the radio to work. My interior is a mess.

Wait, is there only 2 wires that hook into the tape deck?

there are 2 connectors. one has 8 wires ( the speakers) and the other has 7-ish (power. ign, memory, ground. illum, etc)
