11 Miles to a gallon on 05 Vic don't seem right to me

My dad did his m.p.g. and got only 11m.p.g.

It was all local and with the a/c on.

To me it seems real low.

    Car has only 10k

    Is this normal?

Traffic overall is bad here and the traffic lights are super long due to left turn signals at every intersection.

    But still with all that?

    Just woudering?

    Thanx

Oh yeah my 99 gets around 14 local.Sometimes better.Plus it still has original plugs at 103k

Well, how long is his drive home, and how far is it? If it take him 45 minutes to go 5miles, then I can understand the millage. Otherwise, you should be gettin much better, though 100% stop go stop go means gas will stait up suck

He only goes to the store and back. Most times it's only 6 miles round trip.
He's 92 so he dosen't go that far.

But when i got my 99 new it wasn't that bad.

If it gets crappy mileage to 30k that will suck.

          He loves it anyway.

It will take about 20 min. to 6 miles on these local roads.Longer sometimes.Worse in the winter when the snowbirds come flocking down.

Well, cold runs are the worst, add the slowness of the drive and there is the mileage problem. Nothin can be done about it. Except....

I'm gonna do this when I get my Vic back on the road, I'll report the findings as such. Though, I know my chemistry and it is all sound. Makes a good amount of sense.

You need to install a w5az-6101-aa on the bottom of your accelerator pedal (wood block).

Yeah a get a around 23 on the highway running around 70 or so on my 99.

Buy the way would worn plugs give you shutter every ounce in a while. The tranny fluid gets serviced regulary at the stealership.

Worn plugs will make it shutter. My 89 shuddered bad till I changed the plugs. And then they was all melted and shit.
