keeping in mind this would be a bitch of a project, lol. i was thinking of blacking out every other spoke, keeping the outer ring the material it is, and then the center caps
I'd settle for getting all the peeling clearcoat off mine, then repainting the space between the spokes black. its mostly getting the flaky clear gone that bugs me. it looks like crap.

wonder if you could cheat on the masking part and just take a Q-tip dipped in vaseline to the spoke part. Wipe a bit on there so the paint won't stick, then just wipe it off after painting. would need to be done where its not super hot to keep it from running tho.

Just tape it, it won't be hard. Tape off every other whole, that will also tame off the surface so the natural aluminum doesn't get painted. It shouldn't take more than an hour to tape 4 wheels. When I get my new wheels mounted I'll try it out if you haven't done it by then.
