hood ornament compatibility

wondering if the 80's towncars hood ornament is swappable with the early 90's ones.

this is lableled as an 88 89 90 ornament but is unsure.

im just hoping i can fit it to the pimpster

The box towncars changed to the smaller style ornament in 1988. Personally I like the big crosshare style ornament like they used up till 1987.

the mounting bases are all different........i bought one of those gold pimp ones and it didnt fit

You can change the grille surround to an 88-89 if that ornament won't fit your car. Wont swear an 86 waffle will fit into a later surround though, so you might have to lose it in favor of a waterfall grille.
