The ad lists that the idler arm has been replaced and the frame is broke. Sure it isn't a SOHC TC? Sure doesn't sould like a FWD Conti to me.

My Grandparents live in McAdam, NB. I'll swing by and check the car out next time I go for a visit. An hour & a half drive from my location.

The ohc 4.6 in my '92 CV runs well but a dohc 4.6 would rock...

It's not a bad engine....but it costs about 3 times as much to modify vs. a 302/351W, and is pointless unless you supercharge it.

                      Oh well, call me picky.

                        Just tossing this out there:

I had a 351 box and an MK8 at the same time. Both geared virtually the same, with the box a couple of hundred pounds lighter. Anytime I got into the MK8 it felt like I was towing a trailer or had the e-brake on. Although it would be cool to have a box with the 32V 4.6 I wouldn't do it for the performance.

I think that if I already owned all of the necessary parts....I might consider the swap. But at this point, I think it's more feasible to do a 460 swap than to do a 4.6 DOHC engine install.

I think I would do a pi conversion, maybe some cams before I did that 4v swap. the converted 2v would make the same hp with more bottom end. if thats not enough, add boost

Seemed the huge heads on the 32V 4.6 wanted to occupy the same space as a box's UCAs when I pulled the tape out. A 2V would clear no problem.
