what would a complete HO roller motor be worth?

Saw one for tree fiddy in a classified ad this week. It would suck 'cause I've got a few bucks into the intake/tb already but it would be nice to have a complete HO motor to work with before it even goes near the car. I have a bunch of gaskets and an oil pan that is nearly new that I could slap on to it.

....probably a foolish question but am I looking at the 225hp 300tq that I see listed on places like wiki for the HO? not at the wheels of course..

Get it just because it will save you many headaches. Much easier to work on engine outside of car then in car.

If that's a complete HO with intake, injectors, exhaust manis, etc, $350 is a hell of a deal. HOs alone go for $750+ around here.

I can usually find them around here for about $500. Sometimes a bit more, usually with quite a few miles on them.

                I traded a guy a '90 P72 5.0 (regular lopo) for a wrecked '91 Mustang with a 90K mile MAF HO, and a rebuilt AOD.

                Results not typical.

they go for about $350 here

years ago I bought several for $250, but they were more plentiful then and those days are gone

you might want to search for an explorer motor- better heads and intake

Ditto on all counts.....and the weird thing is that I'm seeing the Exploder motors sell for less.
