How to tell what gears my car has?

I know its inside the door, but where and what part tells me what gears my car came with?

There should be a little tag on your rear end cover.

The door sticker under the AX field has the axle code. GoodSamaritan has the codes in his signature.

Theres also the tag on the axle. The lower set of numbers are what you want.

I'm guessing that your car has the 3:08 or 3:27 ratio.

Under axle codes it said x5. Not sure what that is as its not on good sameritans codes? It says 0255 above the bar code thing, beside the weight and all that .. but no hints to what it is? Like to find out, because a buddy of mine is selling a 3.27 setup and if my car doesnt have 3.27's now, its getting them.

K maybe? If thats the case you've got trak-loc 3.55's.

Look again, 6th digit from the right. Post a picture of that corner of your tag if you have to.

            Alex.

This has nothing to do with bodywork.

              Moved to Aero drivetrain.

                X5 is a limited slip 3.27 I think

I have the same axle in both the 88 mgm and 93 vic and they both have the same axle code.
