I have conversed with 3 people that have. And they have had no problems with them. They make springs for all the circle track guys...

I would be ordering a set, but the place I was going to order them from stopped carrying them, and were out of the hypercoils. The spring size is pretty generic, 12" free length 5 1/2" diameter. Whatever spring rate you want.

What's the best rate for an all around, street/strip box? I feel the stock (440 lb.) springs are too soft and need to be replaced, but I not going to be running any road courses anytime soon. I haven't ever driven a PI car.

when picking springs you have to deciede either drag or handeling. for drag raging you want a tall soft spring that compresses easilly to store a lot of energy. For handelng you want a short stiff spring to limit the amount of movement and body roll. What a lot of road race guys do is run a little stiffer than normal spring and then run a smaller swaybar. if you try to compensate for soft springs by running big swaybars with sticky tires in sharp corners and a good suspension you can actually pull the inside tires, which looks bad ass but is bad for control

I dunno, the 3 wheel action is great for rotation and getting the rear end around...Kinda dangerous on the street if you aren't an experienced driver. My protege is set up like that. of course that is autocross and not a road course. The setup is going to be different for that too...

when one wheel comes off the ground then the three other tires are forced to take the load that tire carried, if you are pushing the car hard and the tires are at their limit of adhesion the tires will become overloaded resulting in either a tendency to understeer or possibly a total loss of control depending on the speed.

Yep, but it's really common in auto-x..and usually quite controlled. I've never even spun the car around...

With my brake swap this week I had a bunch of parts from the same car, including the PI springs. NUL will be written on the tag on the spring if its still there. They will slip right into place and you can jack the control arms back together without even using a spring compressor

RIP Jason P Harril, we'll miss ya bro
