    F/S 1991 Crown Victoria LX $1200

Okay, car is back up for sale.

    1991 Crown Victoria LX
    I'm asking $1200 for it.

I have extra stuff that can be worked into the deal.
(I'm not at my home PC, will post more later tonight)

Car does have some damage from clipping a deer at low speed. The grill is cracked, the headlight trim is broken (but is currently cobbled back together), and the headliner has (two) cracks/breaks in it (headlight area). The good news is that almost all the damage is hidden by the headlight trim, so I think it can be saved.
I think I did pretty good saving the headlight trim to make it useable, but it should be replaced eventually. I could not believe it, not a single light popped.

Drove it to work today. I think it was happy to be run again as it fired off faster than it ever has.
No "one or two cranks".....as soon as the starter moved...VROOOM!

For all those that ask (why are you selling).....(or dont sell it!)....(and that's cool).....
I thought about it......and thought about it.....I really need a small truck.

I'll have the full rundown on the cars details later tonight.
Most of you know the car though and know the body panels are in great shape with no rust (good paint), that the interior is great, and that it runs good too.

LOL......I was just re-reading where I wrote "headliner".....should be "header panel".
.......but I bet most of you knew what I meant.

    Back to the details:

    car has 97k ish miles
    Stock 302, AOD, 2.73 open
engine runs good, tranny shifts good

Paint is good (no rust bubbles at all) frame is solid.
Is there surface undercarriage rust....of course.....but no rot.

Car is original except for two changes
    1/2" rear civillian sway bar
2 1/4" dual exhaust with H-pipe and magnaflow mufflers

New stuff within the last year:
    die-hard battery
    starter
    power seering pump
    water pump
    thermostat (coolant flush too)
    plugs+wires
    cap+rotor
    air filter
    pcv valve/screen/grommet
    fuel filter
    oil sending unit
    radiator
lower radiator hose, and the two bypass hoses
    wiper motor

Oil changed every 3k with valvoline durablend 10W-30 and a WIX filter

The interior is in really good shape and has no rips or tears.
I don't smoke, and near as I can tell the original owner didn't either.

This car has manual heater controls, so there are no ATC issue's to worry about.

The A/C needs a re-charge and probably new o-rings in the hose ends. A re-charge lasts about a year.

The valve cover gaskets will be need to be replaced, but they aren't too bad yet.
The car's check engine light (the yellow one, not the red oil light) likes to flash randomly when it's cold out. Once the car warms up it pretty much goes away. Might be egr......vacuum leak.....wonky light......I really don't know. It's done this since I got it last year. The engine does not seem to care as it runs good and gets 20-22 mpg in the summer.
Also, the cars smog pump gets noisey in the winter. I just take the belt off till sping......LOL
Other than the A/C that needs a charge, everything works as it should.
cruise control, power windows, things like that....all good.
I put new bushings in the drivers power window last year.
The headlights are all new. New belt on the P/S alt. side.
Car has a tilt steering wheel, digital clock, and it still has the factory am/fm/cassette radio too.
I never got around to adding a tach or CD player so the wiring has been left alone other than the original owner had a CB in it at one time.
    I never got arount

Damage is not nearly as bad as I expected to be, I have a good headlight bezel and a nice grille if you or the new owner are interested.

BTW People.... the rear sway bar came off my 89 CV LX, so you KNOW its good stuff!

Damage doesn't look bad at all.

It looks like a hell of a car, for the money!

Is that a non-leather wrapped steering wheel?

Are there any mounting holes in the dash or floor from the CB radio? Any holes drilled for the CB antenna or wiring?

                        Yes sir.

                        Nope.

                        Nope

When I bought the car the CB itself had already been removed.
The mounting bracket was still there (it was a floor mount), the wires (for power) from the dash were hanging (from under the dash)(these are now tucked up under the dash), and the antenna cable was laying there as well.

The original owner must have really not wanted to drill holes in the interior. He used really short sheet metal screws.....they wern't even 1/2" long......they only went into the carpet (not all the way through it). He used every screw hole on the CB braket just so he didn't have to drill any holes. The antenna cable was run under the seats and through the trunk. He used little plastic wire hold-down straps with those same super short screws. The antenna had a clip on it that wrapped around (and under) the trunk lid and had one or two grub-screws on the underside to hold it in place. The antenna base itself had a soft covering to it's base and did not hurt the paint at all......actually you have to wax the trunk lid really good or you see this perfect circle in the paint that it protected all these years.

I think I have a pic showing the CB bracket still in the car.

The steering wheel is kinda' blocking it, but you can see the CB stuff if you look close.

I think this is the only pic I have with the antenna still on it.
