auto climate control broken??

Hey, I was referred here by my buddy. My step dad has an 03 GM Ultimate edition with the auto climate control. He's in town this weekend (truck driver) and told me that the car is only blowing hot air no matter what setting its on. Has anyone had this problem before?

24 indicates a blend door problem. Time to check the shop manual but I have a sneaky suspicion the actuator is probably shot, and you're in for tear apart the dash funtimes.

I tested it out after doing the self test and its functioning like normal now. I drove the car around for a little to let it warm up. It blew hot air when I cranked the heat up and cold air when I lowered the temp. Hopefully it stays fixed.

I must say that I love driving the GM. I have an 02 Mustang GT and would rock the GM as my dd.

you will probably have to run the self test and clear the codes every season from now on out. whenever you are done with using the heat and want the a/c back you will probably have to clear the codes.
