I was looking at these last year when they were on sale. I'm very very tempted. I mean really. Money in the bank. If only the short block on the wagon already wasn't already so unhappy. But I'm really really tempted to buy these assuming their not total crap.
Besides for one having better springs, what is the difference between the 2?2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

The more expensive ones are for roller cams. The cheaper ones are flat tappet.
Not sure what that means as far as the ehads, but I did a compare because I too was curious of the difference.**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser

Unfortunately, just quickly thinking about other items I'd need, pushrods, rockers, gaskets all around, and must importantly something to tune it with since I doubt even a stock MAF system would be very happy with these.2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

How can a head possibly be "for roller cams", unless the default valvesprings are something that happens to be suitable for a selection of commonly-used street rollers?
I'm actually not so sure anymore it makes sense to buy a head supplied with a random spring already installed ..... seems it might make better logical sense to have the heads supplied with the correct springs for your application.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

Oddly enough, these heads, according to some particular, paranoid-schizophrenic cam-grinding guy, are supposed to be superior to AFR's products....
And these particular heads are around the top of my list concerning a nice, 408W for an automatic car....the others including a pair of 351C 2V aussie heads, or 351C 4V heads....

I've been looking at their 185CC brother for my combo (stock 351 bottom end, 650ish holley, custom-grind cam, shorty headers, mostly street-driven). At this price though, the smaller ones are tempting.
85 4 door 351 Civi Crown Victoria - Summer daily driver, sleeper in the making, and wildly inappropriate autocross machine
160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc
06 Mazda 3 hatch 2.3L 5AT (winter beater that cost more than my summer car)

These heads on sale when I have no money makes me sad, I saw them on another forum last week. These would be perfect on my 308 sitting in my building.
