Custom made are the only option for the rear. Though I have expiremented with a 2.5" Diameter spring for a coilover application. The ends of the pigtails on the stock spring are 2.5" so the 2.5" coilover spring sits on the cups but I have never been able to try to drive a car with them to see if they would stay in place. The springs I was playing with were only 7" long and that's to short. A 10" spring with a 200 lb./in. Rate should lower a sedan about 3-3.5" from stock.

This has a 2" drop in the front and 2.5" drop in the rear. I'll ask him what springs he hasin there.

The 98-02 use a higher rate than the boxes, but the spring dimensions are the same for 79-02.

i have tried that, using a piece of tubing welded to the spring perch to use a threaded coil over body over the tubing. the top and bottom spring perches do not line up, the lower in 3-4' behind the upper at normal height. the only way to do it would be to weld on custom angled mounts to both perches.

kinda hard to tell, but you can kind of see how the spring angles forward slightly. this is on my 85, but they use the same suspension.

although that is in comparison to my 97, with a 98+ im not sure

Wouldn't it be a waste of money to buy lowering springs if you're planning to replace them with airbags in the foreseeable future?
